Georgia Driver's Rights

If STOPPED, have your license and insurance card ready.

Be Courteous and Politely refuse to answer questions regarding where you have been, how much you have had to drink or smoke.

Do not consent to a search of your car or person. DESIGNATE a person to pick up your car.

If you are ARRESTED, politely refuse to perform any road side sobriety tests.

Do NOT blow into the handheld breath device.  It is your constitutional right to refuse this test.

Upon request, DO Consent to a chemical test of your blood, breath or urine; DO request an independent blood test at your own expense.

Appeal to the Dept. of Motor Vehicle Safety within 10 days to avoid license suspension.
